Chef Cheng Lin earned a Michelin star within one year of opening this Williamsburg omakase counter in August 2023. Lin previously worked at Hatsuhana, Sushi Seki, Blue Ribbon Sushi, and Ito Tribeca. His philosophy is built around marinating, curing, and aging: an 18-course progression of seasonal nigiri with rice refreshed repeatedly through the meal. Lin shares sourcing and technique openly, which makes the counter feel like a conversation. Named after a Japanese comic book about a young man's passion for sushi.
