About
Angie Rito and Scott Tacinelli opened San Sabino six years after Don Angie, just a few doors down on Greenwich Avenue. Named after Scott's grandfather from Sanza, Italy, where most people are named after the patron saint Sabino. The focus is Italian seafood with the same unexpected combinations that made Don Angie a phenomenon: raw scallops with pickled golden kiwi in hazelnut-buttermilk dashi, shrimp parm, pasta alle vongole with bold twists drawn from the coastal American cities where Italians settled. The room has sunny yellow accents, mirrored walls, and a wavy marble bar that looks like a pool bar in Capri circa 1960. OpenTable opens at 9 AM, 31 days out.
