Don Angie, a West Village restaurant, moved from Resy to OpenTable in May 2025. Any guide pointing you to Resy is out of date. If you're searching for it there and not finding it, that's why.
Reservations release on OpenTable at 9 AM, 8 days out. This is a shorter window than most comparable restaurants. Eight days rather than 28 or 31 means you're not planning far in advance. You're checking OpenTable about a week before you want to go. Set a reminder for 9 AM on the drop date for your target dinner.
The platform switch also changes how you get notified. If you had Don Angie saved on Resy and were relying on Resy Notify, that alert is no longer active. You need to set up OpenTable's notification system separately. This catches a lot of people who followed the restaurant for years on Resy and assumed their alerts carried over. They did not.
Don Angie serves lunch Friday through Sunday from 11:30 AM to 2 PM on the full menu. This is not brunch. It is the dinner menu at lunch hours. It is meaningfully easier to land than dinner and is the highest-percentage path to a table at this restaurant. If your schedule allows a weekend midday meal, book lunch.
Don Angie has bar seating available for walk-ins. Arrive by 4 to 4:30 PM to have a realistic chance. The bar fills quickly once service begins.
Don Angie participates in the Visa Dining Collection, curated by The Infatuation on OpenTable, for eligible Visa cardholders including Chase Sapphire Reserve. If you hold the card, check for access before the public window opens. For other West Village restaurants worth understanding before you book, read the guides for Via Carota and 4 Charles Prime Rib.
