About
Chef Franco Sampogna and restaurateur Bernardo Silva built Frevo as a restaurant nested inside a contemporary art gallery in Greenwich Village, entered through a speakeasy door. One Michelin star. The 16-seat counter faces an open kitchen where Sampogna's sauce-centered cooking draws from classical French technique and travels through South America and Asia. The menu, the wine pairings, and the gallery exhibition all rotate together every four months. The aged Comte with honey ice cream has been a signature since 2019. Tock drops at midnight on the 1st of the month for two months out.
